made records was founded in 2018 with the intent of giving a platform to musicians with a vision, to songwriters, producers and topliners with charisma and choruses, while challenging the industry's old and dusty ways in favour of greater equality, health and climate.

 

You could say made records is an alternative pop label, we cover a vast range of genres. Per has experience developing and breaking female pop propositions. Melanie is a sucker for a good pop song and has a great read on what works at radio and press. Danny was lucky enough to work at ‘The Diverse Record Label, Decca Records’ for eight years. Stemming from and based in three different countries (Norway, Germany, England) and with different industry backgrounds, we’ve learned to combine our forces  for a holistic approach on our campaigns (like a music biz version of the Powerpuff Girls if you will, though we often fight over who’s who)

 

We believe that this is because we are genuinely interested in our artists and the artists are genuinely interested in us. That might be a weird thing to say because that should be the case with any label. We all know that’s not always true, though. We have a golden rule: We only work with people we like and that like us. We care as much about our artists as human beings as we care about their music. We meet them at eye level and it is of utmost importance to us that they can navigate the shark tank that is the music industry not only with success, but also with ease and a lot of joy. To us, development and long term growth can only happen in an environment that puts emphasis on quality in every aspect of its day to day business. We put an extra focus on mental health and building a better music industry, starting in our own little corner.

What all our artists have in common is their genuine hunger for good music, their drive for songs that go deeper than the average pop song while never neglecting a banging choruses, a hypodermic goosebump injection or the occasional dance beat. Alt pop, heartwrenching folk, aerial sad disco bangers - the made records roster can offer all.  We don’t have a style, we have taste and we would love you to have a bite.
