"all the life"
SINGLE
single after single, Rahm managed to grow an audience of astounded listeners over the past few months. the glistening sound structures and deeply personal, yet allegoric lyrics struck many people like tiny lighting bolts. after just releasing his single "all the days", he follows up with new track "all the life".
"all the life" threads a string of shiny audible pearls into a chill bop, just in line with what we have heard from RⱯHM ⚉ so far. it is a tentative track, like a flower trying to push its head trough concrete. it floats on a unicorn shaped inflatable in an overgrown pool, the beauty among the mess. press has called RⱯHM ⚉ "unique", "just the right spot between invasive and inwardly" or downright "magical".
well. he is all of the above, after all.
"I always imagined I'd live a thousand lives. Not like a thousand reincarnations or anything, just a thousand different chapters of myself. And in those chapters I'd get to do all the things I'd ever imagined myself doing, like climbing Mt. Everest, or being tall, or actually wearing Sketchers. But then life happens day after day and still I'm not taller than I was in high school and I still don't have a pair of Sketchers and I definitely don't have anything to do with Everest. And the fact is that I don't actually want to change, and that at any moment I'm totally terrified to leave my current chapter for some other one. I don't know how to reconcile those feelings. I think I was trying to in this song. And I don't know if I'm immature for thinking that I could live a thousand lives or immature for being terrified to do it. Maybe I'll buy some climbing boots. See what happens."
